i cant believe i'm 21... i feel bad for wearing a bright yellow T-shirt today, as though it would have been OK to wear such youthful clothes yesterday, but I need to find myself a drab grey cardigan now and dress more "maturely"... fortunately after feeling bad, i thot what the heck and am still wearing it...

rather than type out more about my day, i think i'll just paste part of an email i sent to my sis Shawna...

_______my bday so far has been real nice! hung out and played ball in the park with a good buddy of mine, Joe, this afternoon, then a few friends from chruch came over tonight and we had a bbq and they brought bday cake and we played a couple silly games including "Try to throw anything possible through Johann's open window on the 2nd floor" which turned into "try to avoid the water Johann is throwing down at us from his window whilst we try to throw marshmallows into his room" which eventually progessed into "lets hold katies arms and legs and let johann just empty a glass of water onto her completely soaking her"... quite the innovative game-making activies we had! am having my major celebrations tmr night tho with what might turn into the biggest house party this side of ... the North Pole! possibly with a few DJs and more BBQ action. really lookin forward to it!_______

I've been overwhelmed at the number of cards and presents people have been giving me! I'm really so glad that i've made such cool friends and surprised myself with how settled and attached i'm getting to this place. its def not home like hong kong, and i haven't known the kids for 10+ years like i've known maybe some of you reading this, but I really do love this place and the ppl here, way more than i expected to! I've been thinking tonight how hard its gonna be to leave everything here and set off for Keele next year... I really dont want to but I guess its for the best and I'll be back to visit on some weekends and harrassing ppl here on msn (whist simultaneously beating Nic Tse, Andy and Jon at Solitaire Showdown)...
